OMFG! In answering an e-mail from my friend JJ, I looked up a quote from former U.S. President and 5-Star General and commander of ALL Allied forces in Europe, Dwight Eisenhower. I was looking for his "Military-Industrial Complex" Farewell speech when I found the following:

If you do nothing else "political" in the next few months read what these (mostly) war heroes said and contrast their statements with: Dick Cheney--George Bush, "security", "patriotism", fear, war vs. peace, ethics vs. armaments. (Gen. Sherman NAILS Bush & Cheney!)
My, my, my. Haven't we forgotten a lot in a short time?
Transpose these heroes' wisdom on all the corruption and lies that we have ALLOWED into our lives and government since WWII. (Including all the "debate" on health care.)
OMFG! LISTEN to what Gen. Bradley said: “With the monstrous weapons man already has, humanity is in danger of being trapped in this world by its moral adolescents.”
Then, THINK! ... and do something POSITIVE.
